Nexton: Part 2: Shopping and Leisure

Nexton is such a great community with so many perks that I had to make a few blog posts to cover everything! The first blog is a great introduction to the community as a whole and focuses on the green spaces and dining in Nexton. This one will focus on two of my personal favorite past times, shopping and leisure activities. I’ll also include a little info about other service-oriented businesses, but to be honest, there are so many and it would be hard to cover them all!

Shopping

There are so many shopping opportunities in Nexton. Here’s links and a brief description of what each offer.

Art on the Square – This is an art gallery offering a wide variety of art for purchase.

Doolittle’s Premium Pet Provisions – This locally owned store has your canine and feline friends covered. They offer the obvious pet food and other supplies, but also a unique variety of pet toys, and a self-service pet wash. If your pup is not so well behaved, they also offer training classes.

Nelson Wine & Spirits – A convenient bottle shop for all your wine and spirit needs.

Simple to Sublime – An eclectic shop offering a variety of gifts, beauty and wellness items, items for the home, apparel and accessories. It’s a neat little store with lots to look at.

Southern Cuties Boutique – This local small business is a women’s apparel shop with a great balance of trendy vs classic. It’s a great shopping spot for teens and more mature women alike.

The Bicycle Shop – Nexton’s network of outdoor trails is perfect for biking. You can purchase bikes for the whole family here or have your existing bicycles serviced.

The King’s Leaf Cigars & Wine – when writing this blog, this store isn’t quite opened, but it will soon be. From looking on their website at their other locations, his should shape up to be a great cigar lounge.

TruCarts – having a golf cart is super handy in Nexton because much of the community is just a short golf cart ride away. True Carts has you covered for all your cart needs.

Tweedle Beedle – This is a local small business that has all things baby (and young kids) covered. They sell baby and toddler clothing, diaper bags, feeding supplies, toys, and the list goes on and on. I like this store because they have a unique variety of products many of which are not available in the big box stores.

Wild Birds Unlimited – This is a locally owned shop that sells all things to help you support the birds in the community…Bird feeders, bird feed, bird baths. The experts here are happy to share their knowledge.  

Leisure

In addition to the amenities that the individual neighborhoods of Nexton offer, there are many other leisure-based business and activities around the community.

Barre Nation – If Barre is your fitness jam, Barre Nation has you covered. It’s a nice studio in a brand-new building.

Bold Fitness – This is a full-service gym boasting a wide selection of cardio equipment, weights and strength training equipment, and group classes.

Ninja Warrior Fitness & Gymnastics – This is a facility for children that offers ninja and gymnastic classes, afterschool and summer camp programs. My kids have been a few times and are always begging to go back.

Three Keys Yoga – Here’s a convenient relaxing yoga studio that offers a variety of classes from beginner to advanced levels.

Title Boxing Club – Box that stress away all while working on your fitness and health goals.

Services

Nexton is truly a community where you most services are right at your fingertips. Personal care is easy with tanning at Charleston Glow, maintaining those nails at Diamond Nail & Spa, or keeping the men in your life groomed at Diesel Barbershop. There are multiple banks and financial services and insurance businesses. Medical services are a plenty such as dentistry, orthodontics, plastic surgery, dermatology, physical therapy for all you humans. Also, there's even a veterinarian for those non-human family members.
