Enjoy a leisurely Saturday morning exploring the gardens of Azalea Park and historic homes in Downtown Summerville. The Garden Stroll will kick off with a sneak peek of the forthcoming Children’s Discovery Garden located in Azalea Park. This innovative garden will feature a variety of nature, music and art-inspired pieces. After taking in all that Azalea Park has to offer, walk or golf cart shuttle to four nearby historic homes for an exclusive opportunity to tour their private gardens. Each garden will welcome you with live music, refreshments and lite hors d’oeuvres as you immerse yourself in the surrounding architecture and gardens.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Leadership Dorchester Class of 2024 service project, the Azalea Park Children’s Discovery Garden. Opportunities to donate to specific garden installations will also be available.

The Sweet Tea Festival is a celebration of the birthplace of sweet tea, right here in Summerville SC. Our Historic Downtown is transformed into a massive open house/street fair with different food trucks, artisanal vendors and entertainment. Of course, there is plenty of sweet tea and you can help select the Tea of the Year by sampling and voting for your favorite!

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with an evening of music, food, and culture featuring musicians of Chamber Music Charleston and DJ Luigi of Latin Groove. This free event showcases various cultural organizations including Círculo Hispanoamericano de Charleston, Chamber Music Charleston, Latin Groove, and Summerville Parks & Recreation, among others. In addition to music, food trucks will be on hand to sell authentic Latin foods and demonstrations of Tango and Salsa dancing will take place. Various information tables will be available to learn more about the cultural organizations of the area.
