New Year, New Company, New Missions in this Hot Summerville Real Estate Market
2021 has been a year of transition for us! Previously, you may have known us as Kevin Douglas and Associates, but now we are officially Home Grown Real Estate! With this huge transformation, a new blog summarizing these changes and introducing the new company is a must!
For those of you unfamiliar with us, Kevin, has been a realtor in the Charleston South Carolina area since 2017. Frustrated with his corporate 9-5 job at that time, he decided to venture into to real estate and has rocked this job ever since! 2021 started as all other years, Kevin was hustling representing buyers and sellers in the Charleston real estate market under his previous broker. Going into 2021, we knew it would be big because Kevin would finally be eligible to get his broker’s license and hopefully open his own real estate brokerage. So, after completing some additional real estate classes and taking the broker licensing exam mid-year, he did it! And that is how Home Grown Real Estate was born!
Around the same time in early 2021, I, Brittnay (Kevin’s wife) started working on my real estate license. You see this was a bit of a stretch for me as I am a licensed and certified nurse practitioner. In November 2021, I completed my courses and passed my exam to become a licensed real estate salesperson! I now have joined the Home Grown Real Estate team and reluctantly announce that my husband is now my broker and boss.
So, who is Home Grown Real Estate? We are a real estate brokerage dedicated to providing the best services to our buyer and seller clients. While our name and company may be new, do not let that fool you. Kevin single handedly helped over 35 families and sold just under $10 million in real estate in 2021. So, behind that new snazzy logo is a solid experienced team that Kevin has assembled for all your real estate needs.
Currently, we are acting as a husband-and-wife team. Kevin is focusing on assisting clients with their real estate needs, recruiting other agents to join us, and property management duties. I, on the other hand am focusing on more behind the scenes tasks such as marketing, recruiting, social media presence, and providing my opinion on everything whether asked or not asked.
